Designed around the UK Children's Code

A safe place for kids to learn and use AI.

Noodle is AI made for children aged 6 to 15. It answers their questions, helps with homework without doing it for them, and teaches them how to ask AI good questions. You see every conversation, and what they're getting good at.

Free for up to three children. Every safety feature and every lesson, on every plan.

Can you help with my story?

For grown-ups

Built around the UK Children's Code

The Information Commissioner's Office sets out how online services used by children must treat them: the Age Appropriate Design Code. We designed Noodle around it from the first line of code. Here's what that means for your child.

Their interests come first

Noodle is built to help them learn, not to keep them hooked. No streaks, no endless feeds, and the fun leads back to learning.

Private from day one

The most private settings are the starting point. No public profiles, no location, nothing shared with other families.

Only what we need

A first name and an age band. No surname, no email, no birthday and no photos of your child.

Right for their age

Three age bands change how Noodle talks, what it allows and how it looks, from six to fifteen.

They know you can see

Children are told, in words they understand, that their grown-ups can see their chats. No secret monitoring.

Their data isn't the product

No ads, no profiling for marketing, nothing sold, and their chats are never used to train AI.

The Code also asks for a Data Protection Impact Assessment. We're writing ours now, with independent review, before Noodle opens to every family.

Children are meeting AI anyway. Most of it was never made for them.

Built for grown-ups

Ordinary chatbots talk to a nine-year-old the way they talk to an adult, with a filter added afterwards.

Answers, not learning

Ask for homework and you get it, finished. Nobody learns a thing.

Parents in the dark

No transcripts, no say in what's off limits, and no warning if a child is struggling.

A prompt is a recipe

Why prompting matters

AI can't read your mind. It reads your words. Vague ingredients make a vague dish: same AI, same second, two different prompts.

Vague A plain photo of a hamster

"Draw a hamster."

You get a hamster. Not the one in your head.

Specific A cartoon hamster in sunglasses and a towel cape, slipping on a banana in a supermarket

"A drama queen hamster in a towel cape, speed-waddling through a supermarket, slipping on a banana."

Every word told the AI something. That's prompting.

Noodle teaches six skills as children use it, with tips in chat, short lessons and games:

  • Be specific
  • Set the scene
  • Say how you want it
  • One change at a time
  • Check it
  • Keep it private

How Noodle is different

Strained twice

Every question is checked. So is every answer.

A dedicated safety check reads what your child asks, and again reads Noodle's answer before your child sees it. If anything isn't right for them, they get a kind note instead, and it doesn't count towards their day.

Your house, your rules

You decide what's on the menu, child by child.

A seven-year-old and a fourteen-year-old need different things. Each child starts with sensible rules for their age, and you can loosen or tighten any of them. Some things are never allowed, for anyone.

Homework, not cheating

It helps them think. It won't think for them.

Noodle is a patient tutor: it asks the next question instead of handing over the answer. Ask for a quiz and it asks one question at a time, then explains each answer.

You'll always know

If something's wrong, you'll hear about it first.

If your child tells Noodle they're struggling, Noodle never shuts them out. It answers kindly, points them to Childline, and lets you know straight away, with gentle steps for what to do next.

One Noodle that grows up with them

Tell us each child's age and Noodle changes how it talks and looks, so a six-year-old isn't lost and a fourteen-year-old isn't patronised.

6 to 9

Tap a picture to start, hear answers read aloud, and never count numbers.

10 to 12

Ask, learn and create: homework help that coaches, and stories about anything.

13 to 15

Plainer words, looser defaults you can still tighten. Respectful, never babyish.

Using AI well is a life skill. Childhood is the safest place to learn it.

Today's children will grow up with AI the way we grew up with the internet. The ones who do well won't be those kept away from it, or those left alone with it, but those who learned to ask good questions and check what they're told.

Noodle says when it isn't sure, explains its thinking and nudges them to try first. And because you can see every conversation, you can talk about it together.
